UnPlastic Westport Hydration Stations

No plastic bottles. Just water.

At Sustainable Westport, we’re doing more than talking about UnPlastic-ing our homes – we’re building a town where the sustainable choice is the easy choice. That starts with expanding Westport’s public water-bottle filling infrastructure today.

Our stations exist to eliminate the need for single-use plastic in Westport. Each time you use an UnPlastic Westport Hydration Station, you’re voting against the 500 billion plastic bottles produced globally every year.

Our goal is simple and powerful:

Fund and install water bottle refill stations at key locations across town, making reusable bottles the easiest choice for everyone and reducing single-use plastic waste at scale.

Expanding Westport’s Public Water Refill Network

This spring, in partnership with the Department of Parks & Recreation, Sustainable Westport is taking another step toward a plastic-free town.

We are purchasing and installing two sleek MDF brand, ADA compliant water bottle-filling stations, replacing outdated water fountains at two of Westport’s most active community spaces:

Compo Beach Refill Station

Winslow Dog Park Refill Station

Whether you’re shooting hoops, sending the kiddos to Camp Compo, or taking your dogs for a walk, we’re ensuring that residents stay hydrated and plastic-free all season long.

The impact is clear: these stations will collectively help our community eliminate tens of thousands of single-use plastic bottles a year!

We’re Just Getting Started!

Installing two stations is only the beginning. Our next goal is ambitious and achievable.
