Sustainable Westport featured on The Joe Gardener Show

We’re thrilled to share that Sustainable Westport was recently featured in a national blog post and podcast episode on The Joe Gardener Show, hosted by gardening educator and PBS personality Joe Lamp’l. In a wide-ranging and inspiring conversation recorded in the Verso Studios at our very own Westport Library, our Co-Directors Johanna Martell and Gately Ross discussed the power of community-level action, the evolution of Sustainable Westport’s mission and five Pillars of Progress, and the importance of making sustainable living accessible to everyone.

The feature offers a behind-the-scenes look at our work – from programs like the Zero Food Waste Challenge to our efforts to promote biodiversity, healthy buildings, and environmentally responsible habits across town. If you’re interested in what drives our mission or want to dive deeper into the ideas shaping sustainability in Westport, we invite you to read the full article and listen to the podcast episode.
