About the Collection

Sustainable Westport, together with the Westport Woman’s Club and the Westport Center for Senior Activities, is collecting lightly used durable medical equipment to donate to Wheel It Forward, a nonprofit community library that allows anyone to easily borrow durable medical equipment at no cost.

Donating medical equipment you are no longer using will benefit others who can borrow equipment (after being safety checked and sanitized), plus donating is good for the environment because it keeps these useful items out of the waste stream.

What is Accepted:

• Wheelchairs
• Walkers
• Knee scooters
• Canes
• Crutches
• Shower tub seats
• Toilet risers
• NEW commodes
• UNOPENED disposable items
